502 Errors for Some Members

Hello D-COT family! For some time now, a handful of members were having issues accessing the website when logged in. One of the workarounds I came up with was tedious, but fixed the issue. Last night I dug deeper and found the issue to be in the theme, specifically the notifications found at the top of the page (next to the bell icon). The members that had issues ended up having hundreds of notifications and the script used to get this number was not optimal so it forced the server to kill the process which threw a 502 error.

The good news is that I made some changes to the code so those of you having issues will now be able to access the site when logged in.

  2. Thank you! I haven’t logged in for several weeks because I couldn’t get in. Just randomly tried it today and it worked!

  3. Woot! Saw @ABeach did this and I had 5,000 notifications so got rid of them all today!!!!

      • I am! I miss the whole crew on mouse chat – the new jukebox is great but no chat. :( also my sister now can’t get on d-cot at work which is SO sad for me!!!

        • Darn work. :( We are all in Discord. Come in and hang with us! I might have to bring back the MouseChat though for those who do not wish to use Discord.
