In regards to number one,
“To shroud my clothes, the black of night. To age my voice, an old hag’s cackle. To whiten my hair, a scream of fright.”
The entire potion made her old, but her “old” voice was done by the hag’s cackle. Only her clothes were changed by the black of night.

Agree with bigdisz, your answer to question 1 is wrong. The black of night didn’t actually do anything to her personally, just her clothes.

Not going to lie, the only knowledge i have of Songs of the South is from Splash Mountain, thankfully it was enough to get me through. Sadly i was let down by my lack of knowledge on Frozen
