We thought it was cool the train came through when we were there. The whole train thing with Walt from his childhood and how he developed that affection for locomotives into his theme park. Def seeing the inspiration for Main Street USA. The small scale models of the attractions (I have included the Haunted Mansion, because, well, we ARE Grim Grinning Ghosts) I don't usually post personal images, but I hope you enjoy these. We would def go back and spend more time inside the museum and in the town of Marceline and go out to the farm to see the Dreaming Tree. We weren't able to get out of our car to walk Main Street so I had to snap images from the window. I don't know if there are any tours out of Kansas City that would take you there? We thought it was cool the train came through when we were there. The whole train thing with Walt from his childhood and how he developed that affection for locomotives into his theme park. Def seeing the inspiration for Main Street USA. The small scale models of the attractions (I have included the Haunted Mansion, because, well, we ARE Grim Grinning Ghosts) I don't usually post personal images, but I hope you enjoy these. We would def go back and spend more time inside the museum and in the town of Marceline and go out to the farm to see the Dreaming Tree. Yes! I know. We tried to peek in the windows. It is for sale! It is right next to all of the historical sites you tour. Makes you think about how cool Tom Sawyer Island sitting next to the Haunted Mansion. Let me see if I can find a photo: IMG_20231009_165015622IMG_20231009_165020546_HDR
