‘The Lion King’ Inspired New Limited-Time Dining at Jiko—The Cooking Place

It’s the “Circle of Life” over at Jiko—The Cooking Place at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. This dining experience commemorates the characters, culture and story of Disney’s “The Lion King”. Can you believe it ‘s been 25 years since this animated classic’s release?! Let’s not forget that the live-action version is releasing this year.

  • “I Just Can’t Wait to be King” starter: This entree will provide you with Young Cedar Creek clam malata, potatoes, pomegranate, and a bone marrow finish
  • “Be Prepared” choice of two entrées: Mmmm is your mouth watering yet?! Bone-In Ribeye with hibiscus, nettles, and fregula or Lobster Sosatie with red shrimp, squid, mussels, and fragrant rice
  • “Hakuna Matata” dessert: There’s always room for dessert and something sweet. This dish features caramelized orange, chocolate choux and playful foliage
  • “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?” finale: Friandeses and teas to cap off your meal

During your dining experience you will be able to enjoy live music from the award-winning soundtrack of “The Lion King”. This limited-time dining experience will start June 30, 2019.

  3. interesting mixes in the dishes. clams and bone marrow. I love both but wondering how they go together ;)
