The landscape of rumors is forever shifting. In this monthly series, we’ll take a look at all the new updates pertaining to articles on the site. Surprisingly, the list isn’t very large!

The Tomorrowland Updates

The Tomorrowland Speedway has reopened from its refurb! The ride is slightly shortened with the outermost curve being just a tad more sharp. There is a metal fence all along this curve so guests can’t peek a look at TRON on the ground. However, progress could be seen from the start from the Peoplemover, and the progress is amazing! Lots of roller coaster track is already up.

World Showcase Expansions

D23 is just around the corner and Disney has already confirmed that there will be lots of Epcot talk. So of course, people are speculating on the addition of the Brazil pavilion for World Showcase. It is speculated to open between Germany and Italy and not feature any attractions. Most likely, it will house a Brazilian steakhouse.

Entertainment D-Day

The king has returned! Well, most wouldn’t call it a king, but Rafiki’s Planet Watch will reopen July 11. The area has been closed since late October, so it’s expected to be refurbished. The area will also house the Animation Experience, where guests can learn to draw The Lion King characters. FastPass+ will be available for the Animation Experience. The Play Pavilion is rumored to host an animation experience, but it is unknown if the Animation Experience will affect that plan. Nobody’s brought it up, I’m just connecting dots.

Halloween Ever After

Slightly mentioned in this article was the replacement for Holiday Wishes with a projection show, and it’s confirmed! They even gave this one a name! Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks show will utilize projections on Cinderella Castle for a show exclusive to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

  1. Brazil is not the country I would pick if I got a say…

    • Me neither, but it does seem the most likely to come to fruition

      • Glad I’m not the only one who is not excited about a possible Brazil pavilion. I’d much rather see something like a Peru (Emperor’s New Groove), Ireland (Brave), bring back the Spain idea or even go anywhere else like Belgium, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Egypt, Kenya, South Africa or Australia

    • They picked Brazil solely for the Steakhouse! Man I love that stuff! We have one here in town, and it is wonderful

      • ugh that’s such bad journalism right there. i’m glad they’re getting all kinds of slack right now… anywayyy i hope it’s not brazil lol i think greece would be a cool addition!

        • All the slack they’ve deserved for years now :P That would be cool, but I don’t see that happening :surprised:

      • I couldn’t sleep last night because I was thinking of how easy it would be to prank them…
        Step 1: Make a fake email account
        Step 2: Claim to be a CM
        Step 3: Make up something reasonable (ex. Talking Mickey coming back to meet, Keeanu Reeves in O Canada, etc.)
        Step 4: Wait for article

        I would do it if I had the guts, but mama didn’t raise no prankster :dory:

  3. Brazil? Really? ugh…I’m with the rest…so many better countries. Oh well at least it’ll be something new and exciting.

  4. Oh and one more thing…a sharper corner for the speedway? i laughed out loud at that! oh no, i’m going 5mph around a SHARPER CORNER!!!!

    • It’s not too sharp, really, but it’s tighter than before. I bet I could make the turn at 15 mph and still be fine, 6.5 is nothing

      • in my (probably not liked) opinion they should have either 1) dumped the speedway or 2) re-do it as Cars

        • Yeah I don’t think either of those would be received well
