Bongos Replaced with Beatrix at Disney Springs this Winter 2019
Bongos is being replaced with Beatrix featuring healthy food options including vegetarian, gluten-free, and vegan along with fresh-squeezed juice cocktails.
Since the change from Downtown Disney to Disney Springs, we have seen a number of new restaurants including Jaleo, BOATHOUSE and Paddlefish. The latest announcement from Disney is the replacement for Bongos: Beatrix.
Beatrix, owned by Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises (a Chicago-based restaurant group), will open their first restaurant in Florida at Disney Springs West Side. Beatrix is your neighborhood restaurant, coffeehouse and grab-and-go market featuring healthy food options including vegetarian, gluten-free, and vegan along with fresh-squeezed juice cocktails. The restaurant will also offer a bakery and full-service bar with a selection of all-American beer and wine. Executive Partner and Divisional President, Marc Jacobs, explains “Beatrix represents the way people are eating today – it’s that mix of health and comfort. Whether grabbing a cup of coffee and your favorite pastry, or having a cocktail, lunch, or dinner with friends, it’s your neighborhood meeting place.”
Kelsey Noland, Graphic Designer and Social Community Manager, Disney Springs
We will definitely be there on opening day to experience the flavors!

I will be curious to see how this fits into that huge space. Just another place I will have to try. one trip I need to skip the parks and just spend our days eating all the new food!

Sounds fantastic! I have a gluten allergy… and I eat a heavy plant based diet… so I’m really excited about this one! Yay to Disney for bringing some healthier options to WDW!

I only ate at Bongos once, but I’m still a little sad to see it go because I think it was something different from the norm. However, this also looks like a different offering so at least the replacement seems good
