Out there, there’s world inside of Florida, way out there beyond your own town Barnaby, there’s a show town Barnaby! Out there, full of shine and full of sparkle; close your eyes and see it glisten Barnaby; listen Barnaby! …You don’t need to put on your Sunday clothes to enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy! The tunnels at Main Street Station were designed to be a pealing back of the curtain for people entering the place where dreams come true! Upon the sight, sounds, and smells of Main Street USA with Cinderella Castle off in the distance, many a Disney fan has shed tears of joy – some on every visit! On the Jukebox, D-COT has had the music of Main Street USA since October 23, 2011, allowing D-COT members to bring back the fond memories of entering the Magic Kingdom on past trips.

Main Street USA is inspired by small towns in the early 20th Century – one of them being Marceline, Missouri where Walt Disney spent part of his childhood. Walt wanted to share those feelings of nostalgia with guests as they entered Disneyland, and the Disney Company has continued that tradition by duplicating and enhancing that setting with every Disney Parks resort around the world. Rag-time restaurants, turn-of-the-century transportation, a barbershop quartet, parades, marching bands, and even a functioning barber shop fill this magical throughway! Did you know that the names painted on the windows of Main Street USA are like the rolling credits of a film? They feature, in the film industry’s prescribed order of prominence, many of the big names that made Walt Disney World possible. As guests are walkin’ right down the middle of Main Street USA they’re also treated to the smells of a bakery and a confectionary, and the musical stylings of the era. Guests of Main Street USA and members of D-COT tune in their ears to hear music that would have been played in the early 1900s as well as tunes from movies set in that era. Naturally songs from some Disney films like “Summer Magic” and “The Happiest Millionaire” made the cut. “Put on Your Sunday Clothes” was a song featured in Disney-Pixar’s “WALL-E,” but originated in the 1964 musical, “Hello Dolly!”

This music is what fills our 1-hour loop on the Jukebox and the fact that it’s on all three of the Top 25 playlists isn’t mere fortuosity! 626 Members have added it to their Favorites and Supporters have it on 69 Custom playlists.  It’s not just a favorite, but a heavy favorite as it makes #21 on the Top 25 Rated playlist with a 4.9/5 average rating across 163 votes. It often secures a spot on the Top 25 Played Week playlist and #25 on the Top 25 Played Overall list as Members have played it 39,792 times, with 17 of those in the past week.
