Farewell Illuminations, Hello New Merchandise!

Well, I may have found the only good thing to come from Illuminations ending – new merch! As part of their farewell to Illuminations, Disney has released a variety of new Illuminations themed merchandise, from t-shirts to pins, and even magic bands.

For those who don’t know, Epcot’s night-time fireworks show, “Illuminations: Reflections of Earth,” will be ending in September. The show has been running nightly for the last twenty years, and will be missed by pretty much every Disney fan. But there’s no need to fret, for not only is there Illuminations themed merchandise (for maybe the first time ever?) but it’s actually cute!

Guys, seriously, look how amazing that black t-shirt is. The colors and aesthetic is on point – even the font is adorable! You can also get a baseball cap to match. However, my favorite piece is the raglan, which is only available to passholders. There’s also a limited-release pin, and a magic band decorated with colorful fireworks.

The Illuminations merchandise will be available in Epcot beginning June 17, while supplies last. No word yet on where exactly the merch will be available, but you will find the passholder Figment raglan at Mouse Gears. Will you be buying any of the new Illuminations merch? I’m wondering if this will be like the rose-gold “epidemic,” and we will be seeing the merch all over Ebay for crazy inflated prices… fingers crossed that doesn’t happen!
