REVIEW! Restaurantosaurus Burgers and Sundaes – The Best Quick Service Dining Credit on Disney Property

Get ready for a dino-mite feast topped off with a build-your-own sundae bar!

Restaurantosaurus is a quick-service dining option found at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World. Today they started offering a brand-new dining experience called Restaurantosaurus Burgers and Sundaes.

Price

  • $22.99 per adult – plus tax (gratuity not included or required)
  • $14.99 per child – plus tax (gratuity not included or required)

You can use a one quick-service credit from your Disney Dining Plan to eat here! The total after tax is $24.49.

The exclusive menu includes gourmet burgers, a chicken sandwich, veggie burger and salad. Side dishes include French fries and onion rings with a house-made dipping sauce.

As I walked into Restaurantosaurus I saw a new check-in stand for the experience. I was greeted with a smile and I said I have a reservation for 5:30. She asked for my name, confirmed the reservation and proceeded to write my name on a chalkboard with what I could only assume be the table number (see above picture for reference).

She then let me know how it was going to work. I’m going to lay it out for you in a step order. :)

  1. Order at the usual quick-service stand and pay. Your food will be brought to your table (like Be Our Guest).

  2. Receive a voucher for your sundae.
  3. Walk to the private dining area (located right next to you so you can’t miss it) and wait to be seated.
  4. A cast member will take your chalkboard and introduce you to the offerings (array of sauces for your burgers and fries, unlimited refreshments (non-acoholic), the sundae stand and the unlimited sundae toppings.

  5. The CM will take you to your table.

At every table is a bucket filled with markers, crayons and stencils. You can use the dinosaur stencils to draw on the paper used as tablecloths. This is a great activity for the kiddos.

A pail full of stuff
Sketching!
Markers and Crayons for doodling fun!

My food was ready in about 10 minutes. I ordered the Mushroom and Swiss. It was REALLY good! And those fries were fresh, crispy and hot. The burger itself was a little dry, but nothing some special sauces couldn’t handle.

Mushroom and Swiss Burger
I used the special sauces as dipping sauces for the fries.

After enjoying the burger and fries I was full! I waited 5 minutes to digest a little before hitting up the sundae. *takes a beat* OK. Let’s do this!

You can choose between 4 flavors: chocolate, strawberry, vanilla and raspberry sorbet. You can mix-and-match if you’d like. I waited in a short line and handed my voucher to the CM. You get two scoops of any offered flavors.

Scoop it up!

This was my final disaster masterpiece. ????

MMMM Sundae!

I like cherries so I went with the mound of cherries. ???? I am also plain so I went with two vanilla scoops. ????

I wanted to mention my interactions with two Cast Members. Tamika was very friendly and kind and Wilmay, the manager, paid extra special attention to every guest to receive feedback on the opening night of this new offering. Not to overshadow the other CMs, but I did take notice that they all did a fantastic job taking care of every guest.

OVERALL

I really love what Disney did here. They took a pre-existing quick-service restaurant and gave it new life. If you’re on the Disney Dining Plan, this dinner gets you the most bang for you buck. If you’re not on it, no worries! The price tag still gets the D-COT Approval. Why? Because the food was great and it’s something different not offered anywhere else.

  1. Sounds good…I would totally try this!

  2. Sounds great! One question, they still offer the regular style, right? Regular quick-serve? This is one of the very few places in DAK I can eat but I don’t think we’d want to spend around $100 for the four of us to eat every time… :surprised:

    • This is a great question! Yes, the usual quick-service is still available!

  3. Hmmmm… looks interesting. I wonder if they have an Allergy menu??

  4. I’m so excited for this! :D We’ve made a reservation for October and your review makes it sound great! Thanks for the pictures and the step by step guide :)
