My Sept. Disney-capade - Day 3 09/23/2008 10:42 am Karma: 5
Day 3:

So on Day 3, we were up at the crack of dawn (6:30am) and we knew we had a LONG day ahead of us. We were up, showered and out of there by ~8.

We arrived at EPCOT Guest Relations for our SEGWAY tour around 8:25 and was told to be back here and ready to go at 9 sharp! So we took advantage of the EMH and quickly shot on Spaceship Earth.

We arrived at Guest Relations at EXACTLY 9 and sat there...until 9:05 when I asked if we missed something.. "Oh! Your tour already left! Hurry! Follow me!" and we were swept away to the SEGWAY area of Innoventions. PHEW! We only missed a couple minutes of the introduction to the segway tour.

The tour was great! First they introduce you to the Segway in a classroom type exercise for about 10 minutes and then we were put right on! They had us do some indoor drills (weaving, hills, quick stops, etc.) and then it was off to the World Showcase! Parading around during the EMH of Future World was awesome! We were like a parade and people were stopping and taking pictures of us. VERY cool!

Around World Showcase we stop in each country and they tell us some Disney facts about the area as well as information about the country and why the pavilion was created the way it was. very informative and entertaining!

After our segway tour it was back to being just a regular old guest. We had lunch at Teppan Edo @ 12:15 and had time to go back to our room, grab some cash that we forgot and then get back to Japan. That's the best part of the EPCOT resorts!

Lunch was amazing! During lunch we had our first alcoholic drink of the day in our attempts at completing "Drinks Around the World" (you know, that "unofficial" tour of Disney? ).

The rest of our day was set aside to enjoying the world pavilions and delicious beverages. However, my GF came down with a sickness on country #3 and we had to slow things down and just take the rest of the day easy.

We ended the evening with Illuminations and then it was off to bed. Another magical day behind us.

I forget the tour number but you can actually make it by calling 1-407-wdw-dine. Also you'll get 15% for either being an annual pass holder or Disney visa holder.

The Segway tour is awesome. We were able to do it before the park was open so I have to say that was really cool. My wife picked up on it right away while I struggled a little bit but was able to pick it up quickly.

Great trip report. My wife and I are heading there this weekend to campout of Fort Wilderness and go to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. This is a must do if you haven't already.

Anyone recommend some places to eat? I have been there so many times but I always think there is somewhere new I can eat. Let me know your thoughts.
