My Sept. Disney-capade - Day 2 09/17/2008 09:30 am Karma: 5
Day 2

Cast :
Myself - 25
GF (girlfriend) - 23

So day 2 was already upon us. Today the plan was to go back to MK and hit all the rides we weren't able to get to yesterday and then shoot over to EPCOT. So we were up at 7am and after a quick breakfast in our room we were out the door by 8:30.

We arrived at the MK by 9 and were walking down Main Street before we knew it. This morning we made sure to hit all of Fantasyland nice and early because we all know how those rides tend to get very crowded. So we did the teacups (twice), Philharmagic, carousel, peter pan, pooh, snow white, and some more buzz lightyear (we did this 5x this trip because GF swore she was going to beat me...but she never did ).

We deff hit all these rides faster than I thought we would have...it was now around 11:30 and we were all done! Okay, so off to the monorail to head over to EPCOT. We got to EPCOT and weren't quite hungry for lunch yet so we did Spaceship Earth right away. I'm sorry, but the "return to earth" at the end was great! It had me and my GF laughing out loud! I don't know what all the negative fuss is about.

After that, we decided to hit Mission: Space before lunch. GF loved it! Okay, now we were hungry and we were going to do the Electric Umbrella for a quick bite but we decided on something different. I've never eaten at the Land so we went for a looksie to see what they offered. We ended up grabbing a bite to eat there. My sandwich was HUGE (not the tastiest though) and GF's ceasar salad was VERY good.

After lunch, we did the entire Land. The Land, then Soarin', then The Circle of Life movie. Back outside we wen't! We decided to get a fastpass for Test Track and while waiting for our time slot, we did Mission Space again. After Test Track it was time to walk around the world a bit. We had a lot of time between now and our dinner reservation so we walked back to Boardwalk Villas (I loved having this leisure) and enjoyed a dip in the pool in the sun. Then we got ready for our dinner and headed back to EPCOT for a nice, delicious dinner in Italy.

After dinner in Italy, we just relaxed around world showcase before Illuminations. GF really enjoyed the show but I must say, they took the whole "World" ball out of it and I'm not happy about that. I really enjoyed the message that the show used to really portray but now it seems to be missing. Oh well, I guess things change...

After Illuminations, we walked back to Boardwalk (did I mention that I loved being able to do this?) and called it a night.

Stay tuned for my Day 3 update where we did the Segway Tour around EPCOT and then planned on completing drinks around the world...but could we do it? ...
