The Difference Between the two Pirates of the Caribbean |
|
Wednesday, March 26, 2008 |
I'm sure some of you have asked yourself before, why is Pirates of the Caribbean different in Disneyland than the one in Disneyworld? Well, here is your answer.
Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland is set in southern Louisiana, whereas the Florida version is set in an ancient Spanish citadel in the Caribbean. The attraction in Disneyland is several minutes longer, primarily due to an extended haunted grotto experience, though the queue experience is longer and more thematically rich in Florida.
Also, Florida's high water table could only permit one waterfall to be constructed -- two waterfalls were a necessity at Disneyland, where the flume drops send guests to a lower level in order to pass underneath the Park's railroad tracks.
