I have been doing some research and I feel that D-CoT is not serving very well as a Disney informational website. We have lots of information about the Disney theme parks and resorts, but most of our loyal members are joining and coming back for the jukebox. I can't blame you, it's good music.
Statistics show me that 95% of the hits to the site are in the jukebox. WOW! Because of this, I'm going to be looking into converting the site over to an all out social network jukebox. What does that mean? In early 2009 I will be converting the site over to a complete social network site with user friendly functionality like Facebook.
Most of the features you have now will still be available like writing on mouse pads, adding pals and customizing your profile. New features will include a photo gallery where you can share you precious Disney moments with others. A news feed of what your pals are doing so once you log in you can stay up-to-date with what they're doing. For example, you log in and notice Joe Smith just joined the group "Disney Meet 2008". All members will also be able to create their own blogs so they can share trip reports with the world.
As for the jukebox, I will also be developing a newer version with more features like rating songs and comments.
Since the new site will be using a new back-end, I will do my best to move over all of your accounts. I would like to avoid everyone creating new accounts.

Balloons at Macy's Parade |

This year we can look forward to seeing Bolt the dog and Buzz Lightyear at the 2008 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. These two balloons will help Disney promote the two upcoming films. Bolt will premier on November 21st and Toy Story 3 (in 3D) will open next June with parts one and two opening before hand in remastered 3-D versions.
Expect to see Miley Cyrus on the float singing "I Thought I Lost You," an original song she recorded for the movie with co-star John Travolta. The Buzz helium balloon measures 67 feet long, 39 feet wide and 34 feet tall. The Macy's Parade Studio designers used a special fabric never before used on a Parade balloon to create the clear space helmet.
The Macy's Parade has been the launching pad for many new beautifully animated characters just waiting to leap into the hearts of fans everywhere, and this year is no exception. The addition of Bolt and Buzz Lightyear to an already stellar line-up is sure to be a highlight of the annual procession and make Bolt and Buzz Lightyear instant Parade classics. - Amy Kule, producer of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Disney has released a new CD on iTunes, "Chilling, Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted House". This 2-sided record was originally released in 1964 when Disneyland Records and the Walt Disney Sound Effects Group wanted to remind people that the Haunted Mansion would be opening that same year.
You should definitely add this to your Halloween music collection! Below is a list of all the tracks.

Disney is planning on expanding its resorts to Hawaii, the Oahu island resort. Starting in 2011 you should be on the lookout for this new amazingly beautiful resort. Disney unveiled a detailed scale model of the resort. It will have two towers, a convention center, a spa, restaurants, and a luxurious garden area with many water features.
There will be the volcanic caldera which acts as a center piece to the area. A tube slide that will take swimmers down an adventurous water course with rapids, a bubbling pool, some special effects and a plenty of surprising elements.
Is this a good move for Disney? Most people have to make that choice for honeymoons, Disney World or Hawaii. This might make that decision easier.
