Disney's Hollywood Studios
Disney's Hollywood Studios Disney Hollywood Studios Florida is a theme Park based on the real life studios and backlots in Hollywood California of the 1930s and 1940s. The buildings and rides are all constructed to look like the type of buildings used in filming, many of which are just facades and not full buildings (New York Street). The Park is situated on 135 acres of land in the southern portion of the WDW property right at the Southeastern corner of World Drive and beuna Vista Drive, the main entrance located off of Buena Vista Drive.

The Original concept for the Studios was to have half real working studio and half theme park.
"The World you have entered was created by The Walt Disney Company and is dedicated to Hollywood—not a place on a map, but a state of mind that exists wherever people dream and wonder and imagine, a place where illusion and reality are fused by technological magic. We welcome you to a Hollywood that never was—and always will be" — Michael Eisner, May 1, 1989

With these words on May 1, 1989 the Park was opened to the public
