Character Dining Hate it or Love it? 09/27/2008 10:20 am Karma: 1
For my family character dining is a must. The kids love it! I realize that it's not for everyone so I'm curious to know what you think.

Also, which is your favorite: (Crystal Palace is my families favorite, for breakfast)

Character dining is a MUST for our family. We love the increased level of interaction with the characters that you get in comparison to a meet and greet in the hot sun.

Our favorite has always been, and still is, breakfast at Cindy's castle. If we can't get in during the times we want, we shoot for breakfast wtih the princesses in Norway.

Character dining is all personal choice. My family loves them for the same reason as Calypso. It's so nice to have that personal interaction with the characters and we use the dining plan to take advantage of as many of the dinners as we can!
My kids have a couple of favorites in Akershus and Chef Mickey's, but they also really enjoyed the breakfast at the Tusker House.

I personally don't enjoy character dining. I think this would clearly change though once I have my own children in the picture as I'm sure they would LOVE the character interaction. For me, it's more about the food then the interaction. For now at least

It seems like I read somewhere that Liberty Tree at MK, is dropping the character dining in January.

My family loves character dining. Breakfast at the castle has been our favorite though we've enjoyed many.

My absolute favorite was back in 1996 when we had a character breakfast in MGM Studios (don't remember the name of the place). So unlike today where you only see 4-5 characters - we saw about a dozen characters come through during our breakfast there!! That was truly worth the time & money...I seem to remember the food being pretty good too - though really you're mostly there for the characters.
