My 2008 Vacation Sit Down Dining Report. 09/19/2008 10:52 am Karma: 2
This thread is set to share my expierience and answer any questions or perhaps even take some heat for my opinions.

Ratings:
hey if you have free dining its not a total loss
counter service might have been a better choice.
Not bad, Not spectacular either. not really worth coming back to.
overall expierience fantastic, food excellent. definately a place to eat and recommend
this is worth the trip alone. this is a must every visit. recommend yes feel sorry if they don't go.

Tepan Edo

This is my Third time eating here! Every time has been wonderful. The food is so good! no fried or sweetened foods, just pure good taste! I recomend this as a Must for everyones visit no matter how many times you visit...go again!

Liberty Tree Tavern

Ambiance of course. although you can tell your in the older part of Disney. growing up across the river from Philly, this place has a special place in my heart...not to mention they also have Birch Beer on Tap! The food quality is good. its lacking something that i can't quite put my finger on.

Garden Grill

very fun. this place rotates slowly (feels like a cruise) the atmosphere changing is nice, i just wish you could see more. the food. was good, but i think they are even confused with what they are doing. my suggestion would be to turn it into the Garden BBQ. offer corn on the cob and ribs. make it like a summer backyard event. I wouldn't recommend this.

Chef de France

Nice atmosphere! felt like i was in France, especially the rude wait staff.(ok thats a stereo type but as my friend Rodders says "France is a wonderful place......for a War"... Warning...their macaroni and cheese is truly macaroni's with cheese on it...not a sauce. just melted cheese. I had duck which wasn't bad but looked like it came from an oscar meyer's lunchable. my wife had a beef medallion thing that was actually very good! the deserts were spectacular. i'm sticking to the pastry shop in france. the waitress didn't bring me a pen so i could write how much tip i wanted to leave and grabbed the bill and ran off before i could say anything. thus there was no tip...worked for me! i'm sure there is good food to be had here, but personally i think its in the pastry shop!

Boma

Atmosphere. Wow. food. very different but very good. i definately would come back here and definately recommend everyone try this place. there is such a variety and the deserts selection is fantastic. actually almost too much...almost cause is there truly ever "too much" when talking about dessert?

We had the free dining so often at the all you can eat places they brought dessert to you (whether you wanted it or not.) the places we did eat dessert were Chef de France, Boma. Liberty Tree Taverns Dessert was very average. The Garden Grill's was ...different it was a pastry puff with strawberry's and whipped cream. Teppan Edo, we skipped cause we had our thoughts set on Le Celliar's Chocolate Whiskey Cake, which by far was the best of the whole Trip and Worth every penny paid! if you buy it it's $10 a slice..ouch! but trust me...worth it. if you can plan it...get a cappacino from france and then walk to Canada for chocolate cake! then grab a bench outside and enjoy!!

Nice report Croaker! We had a similar experience at Chefs De France but I wouldn't have given it a 2. Steve got the duck and it was "meh" at best. I got some beef dish and it was AMAZING. The staff was also EXTREMELY friendly to us.

All-in-all sounds like you had a great dining experience!

The Chicken Exit to the Canada Film! Canada is one of those pavillions you truly need to explore entirely...like England!

Thanks Croaker!
That is one thing I planned on doing when we are there next week, really exploring Epcot's World Showcase. I know there is so much I havent seen. I'll be sure not to miss all of Canada!
