Most/Least Favorite Table Service in WDW 07/25/2008 09:24 am Karma: 5
Was just curious as to what is everyone's most and least favorite table service dining experience they have had in WDW.

Most: This is difficult..it's between The Brown Derby and Le Cellier...but I think it currently has to be Le Cellier. I looove the garlic mashed potatoes and am just a steak guy at heart. Their steaks are always cooked to perfection and I just love EPCOT so bonus points to Le Cellier for location.

Least: This has to be Sci-Fi Dine in Theater. Just something about being in a party of 4 and being forced to all face the same way doesn't appeal to me. On top of that, they get you for a good amount of $ for a BURGER...and not even a good one at that!

I'm interested in other's opinions! In September I'm dining at: O'Hanas (very excited. never been!), Tutto Italia, Tokyo Dining, Wolfgang Puck Cafe and Mama Melrose. Mmmmm!

While LeCellier used to be one of my favorites...its diminished..not in Quality. its just my location of living that takes a steakhouse down in favorites. Tepan Edo is our fav! its just fun! we too are trying all new locations this year with exception of the liberty tavern. Really looking forward to Boma!

Least Fav..haha...SciFi...oh i feel so trapped in there. last year i took a friend and he really wanted to eat there...so i had to sit through another agonizing expierience....think i spelled that wrong. it was as bad as my spelling!

Suprize for me last year was Mexico...dont over look this Gem! great food almost always adr's available!

Favorite: San Angel Inn - the best atmosphere in all of Disney and great food. I agree w/ Croaker - don't over look it!

Least Favorite: I honestly can't pick a least favorite. Not that all of them are bad - quite the opposite! I've only eaten at a few, and all were enjoyable - even Sci-Fi!

I love Le Cellier...great food, great servers.
I also think Morrocco is a lot of fun, especially when the belly dancers come out. Plus the food there is very good as well.

The worst??? Can't really say, as I have not had a really bad experience at any Dis restaurant.

I would have to agree with everyone else on here that Le Cellier is the best dining in wdw.

The worst I have not really had a worst..yet.

I too looooove Mexico for the atmosphere however, my past two times there the food quality was not what I had come to expect after dining there just a couple months prior. Very upsetting as, like I said, I really did love eating there.

I have never been to the Canadian restaurant, Le Cellier but I have enjoyed O'Hanna's at the Polynesian. Very very tasty. I would have to say my favorite would have to be Cinderella's castle in the Magic Kingdom,. There is just something about eating a piece of Prime Rib in a Castle of all places. very cool. The resorts have great Table service too but that is another thread.

I agree with the worst being the Sci-Fi restaurant. It has such promise for a cool place being a drive-in but the videos they show are quite lame as well as the food just not being that good.

I'm eating at O'Hanas for the first time ever in 3 weeks on my upcoming trip! I've heard great things and I'm very excited!

Also, you should REALLY try to eat at Le Cellier. It's VERY tough to get a table, but well worth it.

Favorite: TS is 50's Prime Time Diner. My family just loves it. We all get a kick out of the atmosphere and the fun the servers have with the guests. Haven't eaten at La Cellier yet - tried last time we were there and couldn't get in - it's on the menu for our next trip.

Least: Probably Sci-Fi as well. Just don't care for the darkness and like someone else said - everyone sitting forward and not facing each other - kind of difficult as a family. I also don't care for the TS Mexican restaurant. I really don't recall what the food was like - but the service was so bad the time we visited I just couldn't get past it. We do enjoy the QS Mexican and their frozen margaritas!

O'Hana was voted family favorite on our trip last year. The food was great and we had a good time with the limbo. The kids enjoyed limbo-ing, leis and being included in the entertainment.
I dont know how anyone could go to Le Cellier and not like it. (Completely different atmosphere from O'Hana)
Boma also has a great breakfast buffet!
I dont have a least favorite either. We were going to try the SciFi Theater but I think I am going to pass on it now.
We leave in 12 days!!! and this yr. we are trying new places also: Wolfgang Pucks, Coral Reef, Biergarten, 50s Prime Time, Fantasmic Dinner at Hollywood & Vine, Kona Cafe & Boma (both breakfast)

Now I'm really hungry!!!
Thanks!

Ok being a full blooded Italian here and one who thinks she knows the taste of true authentic Italian food LOL...it shouldn't surprise anyone that one of my bad meals has been at an Italian Restaurant...Tony Town's Square in 2005. I was really surprised because in past years it was pretty good. But I don't know that year it was terrible. December 2007 our worst meal was at Tutto Italia. My friend raved about it and I switched from the Japanese restaurant to that. I was so disappointed. I hope it got better and maybe it was just because I went went they had just switched management. Oh...and one more, the Character Buffet at Grand Floridian for dinner at 1900 Park Fare. That had to be the ultimate worse.

One of our best meals, I have to agree with, was the Dinner at the Castle in 2005. I have plans on going there again for dinner in January and see if it's the same. Another surprising good meal we had was at Mama Melrose. Obviously it wasn't signature dining but it was definitely way better than Tutto Italia.

Anyhows....just my own opinion...and I think it doesn't hurt to retry restaurants 2 or 3 years after you had the bad meal. My friend told me that she heard they move the chefs/cooks around every so often...from 1900 Cafe to Crystal Palace...and sometimes it tends to change.

Ambo,
Please tell me I didnt make a big mistake. Our Wolfgang Puck Res was very late at night because we had a later flight. I changed our flights to an earlier arrival but couldnt change Wolfgang's reservation. So I cancelled it (other reviews I had read were back and forth) and made a new reservation at Spoodles. I've heard lots of good comments - have you ever dined there?

The kids love Sci-Fi Dine-In, so we seem to eat there at every trip. My favorites are O'Hana, Mama Melrose, and LeCellier.

Least favorite, without a doubt, is the Coral Reef. Too loud, too confined, too slow, and too overpriced!

This is easy.... I've been blessed to have been able to eat at most TS in the parks and quite a few of the resorts...

Most Favorite: Cali Grill and Jikos (I doubt V&As counts as a table service, so I won't mention that $400+ meal....). Everyone seems to love Le Cellier, but I had a bad experience there (hair on my lobster tail) and it hasn't been the same for me since. Runner-up: Breakfast at the Castle --- just can't beat that meal, the company, and the magic of being in the Castle.

Least Favorite: Liberty Tree Tavern. Ugh.
