Portal Music Player Errors 07/08/2008 05:38 pm Karma: 3  
In the portal player there seems to be an problem when certain songs pop up in the player. When one of these songs pop up, the music player stops functioning as well as the instant message window. Basically, everything in that window seems to freeze up.

One of these songs is:
Disneyland - Magic Kingdom - Main Street USA - Everybody's Doing It - Albert White and the Gaslight Orchestra.

I will keep adding them in this thread for you Steve as I run across them.

Much appreciated buddy. This way I can see why those songs maybe causing an error. I also moved this thread to the portal section bugs. There are two bug report sections for now until the portal is really cleaned and fixed up.

Is it me? I am brand new here and when I listened to some of the Portal songs they were in fast speed...sounded like chipmunks. I also can't figure out how to download...yes, it's me, but I am technically challenged.

The ones that play in fast speed will need to be re-compressed. I compressed all the songs so they save on bandwidth.

Please post any songs that you find are breaking or in "chipmunk" voices in this thread (http://www.d-cot.com/bugs/205-broken-songs.html). Thanks!

The only songs available to download are in the download section. The rest need to be streamed through the portal.

I often have an issue where half a song will load and when it reaches the half way point I will just hear nothing. I have to skip the song to the next track. I will pay better attention to which ones this i happening to in hopes of giving you better information.


2:44pm EST - Just had it happen now with the Walt Disney World Monorail Spiel 1998-002.

Seems to get stuck while streaming. and this is now followed by a "You Have signed off!" with a reconnect button.
